Isla Cozumel Spared by Hurricane Dean

It's official! The island of Cozumel was spared the wrath of the category 5 hurricane named Dean.

No, not this "hurricane" Dean......................................This one...

As soon as I realized that the storm track would make landfall in Mexico, I wrote to my wedding planner Luis to pass along the thoughts and prayers of me and Dameone and my parents. Luis wrote me back today to confirm everything we have read online. They got nothing more than some wind and rain. The Coral Princess, along with every other house and hotel on the island, suffered no damage and they expect things to return to normal any day now.

Here's my shoe for today. A nice pair of white patent leather pumps! With Labor Day fast approaching, I need to wear these every chance I get before they go into "hibernation". :-)

Very glad to hear Cozumel and the Coral Princess were spared!! St.Lucia did not see the same mercy, although I have not had a chance to look up how much damage they really sustained. I know they had at least 3 deaths due to Mr. Dean. (The hurricane, not the senator)
